as located just north of santa rosa. we have maybe a half inch of rain on the way for the bay area. i have full details on what to expect and when exactly you need your umbrella coming up in my next report. >> we are taking a look at the peninsula on the 1 01 and northbound direction where at holly street in san carlos we have received word that there is a large pot hole and the roadway that may be affecting the traffic. it was reported on the northbound side of highway 1 01. we are seen some slow traffic around 90 to enter change but that itself is not a problem. it is typical see some slowing there. there is a report that there may be a large pot hole that has ashley flatten some tires on the vehicles northbound. this could be a hot spot for the northbound commute. >> if he is muni metro, all of the trains should be running. there was a power outage that knocked out all the underground train service last night during the evening commute. it was a blown transformer near the van ness and then station. good news to hear things are up and running for this morning's commute. >> i was calling

francisco 56. cooling off even with cloudy conditions santa rosa 54. and oakland right now 57. hi-def doppler is now showing a couple of very light showers moving onshore out to point reyes, santa rosa and healdsburg. you may get showers tonight and we'll be watching those showers moving in tomorrow especially and then also on wednesday. notice i'm saying showers and not rain. there's a reason for that. showers are just kind of intermitten not that heavy. rain is what you had yesterday and last friday and wednesday. i'm not expecting that this time. the atmosphere doesn't have as much water in it for this storm. an area of high pressure is building in off the southern california coastline taking the storm track, aimed right at us and moving it hundreds of miles to the north. very key because even an indirect hit makes a big change and we are not going to see that much rain from this particular system. so will we see rainfall? will all of us get more rain? we will starting tomorrow through wednesday but will it be a flood maker? no. heavy rainfall will stay away from this system. i
and wrapped up. oakland right now, 55. cloudy. san francisco cloudy. santa rosa, 53. we've got a few light showers offshore. a couple very light showers moving through sonoma and also through the peninsula. then we'll see the slightest chance of a shower north of the golden gate overnight tonight. overnight lows, upper 40s. 48 for fremont, oakland at 51. san francisco at 53. two differences between this storm and the previous three. first off, the atmosphere is not as juicy. the tropical moisture is not there. yes, a front, but not a front producing heavy rainfall. the second change, we have an area of high pressure building to the south, taking the storm track and shoving it just far enough to the north that any moderate to heavy rainfall that does fall will fall not over the bay area, but instead about three to four hours to the north. so the storm check has been bumped up to the north. yes we're going to have a front and a rainfall beginning tomorrow evening. but no, no flooding will be involved. heavy rainfall will stay away from the bay area. so showers are back tomorrow afternoon. on
